This explains what AION 2 Coach (www.aion2coach.com, a free fan project) collects and why. Short version: only what the site needs to work. No ads, no selling data, no tracking cookies.
What we store
- Account: your email address and your password, stored only as a salted hash (nobody can read it, including us). Whether you have Pro.
- Saved characters: the characters you save to your account (region, server, name).
- Progress tracking: once a day, the level, combat power and item level of characters looked up with Pro, to show progress over time. This is public game data.
- Questions: questions answered by the AI are saved with their answers so the same question can be answered instantly for others later. Questions about a specific character are saved for that character and day.
- Unanswered questions: questions the site couldn't answer are saved (without your email or account) so we can add answers for them.
- Usage counts: how many AI questions an account or internet address used today, to enforce daily limits.
- Server logs: internet addresses and pages requested, kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and your browser
One essential cookie keeps you logged in. Your browser also remembers a few choices on your own device (selected server, last character, checklist ticks); they aren't sent to us except when you use them.
Who else processes data
- Official AION 2 site (NC): we look up public character data there when you search for a character.
- Anthropic (Claude AI): receives the text of questions the AI answers and, for questions about your character, a summary of that character's public game data. It does not receive your email or password.
- Oracle Cloud: hosts the site and its database (Canada).
- Email provider: sends password reset emails to your address.
- Payment provider (when Pro payments are live): handles your payment and card details directly.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Backups are kept for 14 days. Saved answers and usage counts aren't tied to your email.
Your account and data
On My Account you can see your email and plan, remove saved characters, change your password, and delete your account and everything tied to it at any time. Deleting can't be undone.
Children
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Big changes will be announced on the site.
